Lucky Homes by SAVO: clinker brick mid-rise on Gerosios Vilties, Vilnius

  1. Two buildings at Gerosios Vilties g. 27

Lucky Homes by SAVO is the group's Lithuanian project: Lucky Homes 1 and Lucky Homes 2, built on Gerosios Vilties g. 27 in Vilnius. The street runs through Naujamiestis, the New Town district south-west of the historic centre, a part of the city where older blocks, Soviet-era housing and new buildings stand on the same pavement. The scale was set by that street. These are mid-rise buildings, not towers: they hold the building line, keep to the height of their neighbours and put their entrances where people walk. The same address carries the group's registered seat, which is set out further down this page.

  2. Dark clinker brick and glazed stair towers

The facades are dark clinker brick. Clinker is fired hard, takes Baltic rain and frost without staining and keeps its colour, so the buildings are meant to look the same in their twentieth winter as in their first. Against the brick the stair towers are fully glazed, which gives daylight on the stairs during the day and marks each entrance after dark. Balconies are recessed into the mass rather than hung off it. This is European city architecture and it is deliberately unlike the group's Ukrainian district. Evromisto by SAVO is a low-rise district spread over open land with large closed courtyards; Lucky Homes is a compact brick block on a capital-city street. Same company, same full cycle, two different building cultures — and that is a fair way to read what the group can do.

  3. The apartment lines: HARMONIJA, ŽAISMAS, OAZĖ, ŠVELNUMAS

The flats are grouped into four named lines: HARMONIJA, ŽAISMAS, OAZĖ and ŠVELNUMAS. The names are Lithuanian — harmony, play, an oasis, gentleness — and each line describes the character the designers gave that group of flats rather than a price bracket. It is a practical device. A buyer looking at the project starts from how a home should feel and read, and only then goes into orientation, floor and layout. Current availability by line is handled on enquiry; this page does not list areas, layouts or prices.

  4. Grounds planted to be used

The grounds were designed with the buildings, not left over once the brickwork was done. Hydrangeas are planted along the paths, young trees are set where they will throw shade onto the seating as they grow, and the lawns between them are kept open rather than cut up into fenced strips. That has an everyday effect: a resident walking home from the trolleybus stop passes planting rather than parking, and the courtyard is somewhere to sit instead of somewhere to cross. In the city the group also runs the café Lucky Bagel, one of several service businesses it operates alongside its buildings.

  5. UAB Savo investicija: the registered seat of the group

The company behind the project is UAB Savo investicija, company code 304499183, VAT number LT100011304015, registered at Gerosios Vilties g. 27-131, Vilnius, Lithuania. The group's legal entity is a Lithuanian company, inside the European Union, working in euros — and it is registered at the address of the project described on this page. SAVO has been on the market since 2006, has built 320 000 m² and has 52 000 m² in the active construction stage. The group works the whole cycle itself: land, concept, design, construction, sales, commissioning and the territory afterwards. Enquiries, including from suppliers and agents, go to request@savobi.com; the group website is savobi.com.

Questions about SAVO and its projects

Which company stands behind Lucky Homes by SAVO?

UAB Savo investicija, company code 304499183, VAT LT100011304015, registered at Gerosios Vilties g. 27-131, Vilnius, Lithuania. It is the group's legal entity and it sits at the project's own address.

How does Lucky Homes differ from the group's district in the Kyiv region?

In type and in material. Lucky Homes is a clinker brick mid-rise pair on a street in the Lithuanian capital. Evromisto by SAVO is a low-rise district on open land with large closed courtyards and commercial ground floors. The two were designed for different cities and read as such.

What do HARMONIJA, ŽAISMAS, OAZĖ and ŠVELNUMAS mean?

They are the names of the four apartment lines in the project, in Lithuanian: harmony, play, an oasis, gentleness. They describe the character of each group of flats, not a price class.

Where is Gerosios Vilties g. 27 in the city?

In Naujamiestis, the New Town district south-west of the Old Town, reached by city buses and trolleybuses. Vilnius Airport is about five kilometres away and the main railway station is closer still.
